Voor Lotte
It happened. I became the typical mam with only eyes for (and pictures of) her baby. I am aware of it but I cannot feel guilty haha! Time really flies when you have a little one, I can confirm this cliché as well. We are 4.5 months far now, and I could not imagin my life without her anymore. She has brought so much happiness and love!
Much has been going on here: we have moved into a new appartment, and little by little our home is coming together. I am working full time again, and I have defeated my fear of driving so the baby can come with me to work. Our days, and heads, and hearts are full, and although I struggle sometimes because I want to do everything by myself and perfectly, I would not want it any other way.
Will try to broaden my spectrum a bit again so I can post some nice non-baby pictures once in while. Much love for the ones who still read this blog!

Outside is free
Left my baby with oma for the first time in almost 4 weeks to spend some quality time with my sister in Leuven. At first, I felt very emotional and incomplete (only mams will not roll their eyes at this) but after a while I felt really relaxed, and happy. It makes me wish I could spend time with my family every weekend... But then again, it's because it doesn't happen a lot, I appreciate and enjoy everything so much more! Belgium, I really love you!

28
How I spent my HOT birthday weekend: my friend C. came by and we had nice food and long chats. After a short trip to the supermarket, we had to lay in the bedroom with airconditioning to recover! In the evening I watched the Eurovision song contest (yearly tradition) while chatting with my family via Whatsapp.
On the 15th I was home alone cause A. had to work, and I spent the whole morning reading, and eating cake haha! Then there was an electricity cut, and the flat felt like an oven without fan or airco or water. Luckily it was repared after one hour. In the evening we had a nice dinner (kroketjes!) at Granada where the view was lovely! However, at 10pm it was still so hot we had to sit inside in the A/C! It was easily my hottest birthday ever :)

Road trip to Upper Egypt
Last week, A. and I took 3 days off and decided to pay his family a visit. The road to Suhag was under construction so it took us a little longer than usual. We had nice snacks for on the way, and I enjoyed the ride! We picked his sister and her son up in the big city and together we drove to the small village where the rest of the family was waiting for us. Including little A., who is now the star of the family. Last time, in September, we were there when he was born, and now he is already a very nice baby who seems to be in a good mood all the time! As I am 7 months pregnant now, it made me relax to see that babies do not need that much to be happy, and healthy. Next time we visit, it will be with our own baby inshallah... that's such a happy thought!
