Sohag city

I thought I had taken a photo of A.'s university but hmmm... here you only see the entrance. Behind the wall there is a big building with a courtyard.
 A hotel
 On the bridge (Cairo vibe)

While it is not really clear from the photos (I guess we were too focussed on finding benzine), Sohag is a big city with high buildings, a history museum in the making, a cinema, serval bridges crossing the Nile, etc. It all looks a bit dusty and old and it reminded me of India. I am happy we drove through it as it helps me to visualize A.4s memories and stories.

Suburban Sohag

When we wanted to go home after Eid, we had to full our tank for the long journey ahead. We did not count in that all the gaz stations could be empty and that we would have to drive almost 2 hours in search of benzine. While it was a bit stressy, it was also a great way to explore the city where A. went to university.

Desert Force

Some impressions of the Eastern Desert, between Sohag (on the Nile) and Hurghada (at the Red Sea): 5 hours of breathtaking views that cannot really be captured on camera.

High tea

When I got the chance to be part of Tea in the Sky, I did not have to think twice. Well actually, I did... I have this big fear of heights! But my curiosity won from my anxiety, I got buckled up and had tea and chocolate cake, 25m heigh, with an amazing view on El Gouna (and my office), including rainbows and sunsets.

So thankful that I could participate! And that I am back safely, two feet on the ground.
