Hidden treasures

Last weekend was fun! C. and me had a hair cut in al Mamsha, a neighbourhood in Hurghada with a large boulevard. We had lunch (she had lunch, I just drank cola light), we walked around, she bought a very nice hand bag, and I bought bubble tea. And then the best still had to come...

We have a discovered a drugstore in Hurghada... almost as good as a small Kruidvat or Di in Belgium! They even had a stand of Essence make up! I cannot describe how happy I was when i discovered this hidden treasure!!! Make Up Group is located near Sherry Road, the third street on the right.

Stay cool

The summer heat has arrived in Egypt. How to stay cool and fresh?

1. Drink!

Water is the best (of course) but I also like cola light and bubble tea :)

2. Eat light

My favorite: watermelon

3. Shower

Opt for refreshing products with zesty fragrances

 ^ delicious fish soup at Hefny's restaurant

 ^ flower shop with uhm... interesting decoration

 ^ wall painting on a printer shop... reminded me of my time at Ricoh

 ^ love the morning light in our bedroom.. although it can get a little hot, hence the self-made sheet-curtain 

 ^ found a treasure in the hotel library: Dutch magazines

Heat wave

We are undergoing a heatwave and my camera died at the beach last week but life is still very beautiful! :) Here are some shots I made with my phone:

-I am going to try to relax on my balcony more often as it should not only be the place to let the laundy dry

 It's watermelon season again! In Egypt they are so crispy and tasty, the best I have ever had!
